Melbourne Thumbtack is a daily visual blog of my wanderings in Melbourne. With my iPhone and a handful of creative photo apps I try to capture little vignettes of everyday life and in doing I really see what's around me.

I've never been much for keeping a written diary but when I look at a photograph that I've taken, I can remember pretty much exactly where I was and what i was doing when i took the photo.

Like the Guy Pearce's character in the film "Memento", these images help me not to forget.
